Patient FAQ's

To ensure minimal wait times, appointments are always preferred.

It is advisable to call us and schedule your appointment as special patient preparations may be required. Alternatively, please make an online request for an imaging appointment and one of our friendly booking consultants will be in contact with you.

Once your appointment has been scheduled our booking consultant will provide you with an arrival time. This ensures there is time for you to complete required paperwork and allows us to prioritise your registration to ensure we take you in on time for your appointment.

We accept ALL medical imaging request forms so you can be assured to have your imaging done at your convenience.

Your request form must be provided by a medical professional or allied health specialist.

  • Medical imaging request form or letter from your health care provider
  • Previous scans from other clinics relevant to your examination
  • Medicare card
  • Government concession pension or health care cards
  • DVA (Department of Veteran’s Affairs) cards
  • WorkCover or other third-party insurers details

Lime Radiology provides a bulk billing service across most Medicare eligible diagnostic examinations. Our booking consultants will advise you at the time of booking if your examination or procedure will incur an out-of-pocket fee.

Direct billing is available to third party insurers, WorkCover and Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA).

At the time of scheduling your appointment, our booking consultants will advise you whether there is any specific preparation required for your scan.

Routine reports are sent to your requesting clinician within 24-48 hours of the scan. Particular examinations, such as Holter Monitor examinations can take up to five working days. For urgent scans, reports are sent out the same day.
